The Regional Director is responsible for driving the development, planning and implementation of the strategic direction of all subsidiaries in line with the Group’s vision and mission. This includes creating shareholder value through leadership and directing strategic initiatives that will contribute to the achievement of short, medium and long term objectives across the region.
The Regional Director is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
- Drive the region’s strategic objectives and direction through leading the development and implementation of the organization’s overall strategy to create shareholder value and facilitate growth in line with the Group’s vision.
- Communicate strategic business initiatives to the stakeholders in executing short, medium and long term growth and operational objectives to achieve set targets and profitability across all business areas in all entities.
- Provide inspirational leadership and direction to all employees, and strategize the continued development and management of a professional and efficient organization in line with the Group culture, values and policies through establishing effective decision-making processes.
- Oversee the efficient utilization of financial resources including developing long and short-range financial plans, monitoring the forecast/budget, and ensuring sound financial controls are in place through setting financial priorities to ensure the region’s operations supports the strategic and growth direction of the Group.
- Responsible for governing the most effective allocation of the organization’s fiscal, human and physical resources by ensuring that control, monitoring and performance standards and mechanisms are in place, relative to the utilization of all corporate resources.
- Evaluate growth strategies (both organic and inorganic) and development options through leading a management team and directing the assessment of existing and potential strategic alliances, partnerships and successful completion of acquisitions.
- Responsible for evaluating the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets and new industry developments whilst strategically directing the company to meet the challenges presented by new trends and developments in the market.
- Determine, monitor and strengthen organization’s standards that are essential to keep its competitive edge and create organization value through continuously working on the people, products and services.
- Analyze the current and potential overall global industrial condition for headwinds of future changes within the industry and adjust the regional strategy.
- Facilitate cross-regional collaboration and strengthen internal communications throughout the region, by creating and promoting a positive, multicultural work environment that supports consistency throughout the region’s strategy, operational methods, and objectives.
- Collaborate with the management team of operating companies within the region, to direct business strategies and overall commercial objectives.
- To ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the company’s Legal, Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) and Ethics & Compliance policies
- Perform any other duties as requested by the Executive Vice President and/or Leadership team.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SPECIAL SKILLS
- Educated to a minimum bachelor’s degree level with a qualification in Business Administration, Management, or relevant discipline (MBA from an internationally recognized institution desirable).
- At least 15 years’ experience in a leadership role, preferably with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in technology for Construction/AEC segment. Experience in related software industry preferred.
- Experience in managing in the region including Chile and other LATAM countries.
- Highly skilled in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures with ability to formulate policy, and develop and implement new strategies and procedures.
- Highly experienced in strategic planning and execution with knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management.
- Ability to manage resources, analyse and interpret financial data as well as identify and secure revenue sources.
- Ability to present and communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with proven ability to motivate and lead senior level executives and manage several companies simultaneously.
- Fluent in English and command over regional languages will be an advantage
